Known best for hosting the popular BBC children's program Wacaday, this British television personality also presented the ITV show Wide Awake Club and the Brilliant TV series Timmy Towers. Also a radio host, he received two 1980s Radio Academy Awards. After earning a history degree from the University of Warwick, he began his broadcasting career at BBC Radio Oxford. Early in his professional life, he also worked for Piccadilly Radio, Centre Radio, and Radio Luxembourg.
