Dwyane Wade Becoming Minority Share Owner Of Utah Jazz

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Dwyane Wade is becoming a minority share owner of the Utah Jazz according to ESPN‘s Adrian Wojnarowski. The former Miami Heat legend is purchasing a share of the team in a deal that will be announced franchise on Friday.

Wade spent 16 seasons in the NBA, 14 of which came with the Heat before retiring in 2019. The guard was a 13-time All-Star in Miami and a member of three championship teams.

“This goes way beyond the dream I had to just play basketball in the NBA,” Wade said in the article from Wojnarowski. “I’ve seen Shaq do it in Sacramento. I’ve seen Grant Hill do it in Atlanta. I’ve seen Jordan do it in Charlotte. If this partnership is going to be anything like my relationship is with Ryan, there are going to be a lot of things that I’ll want to be involved in.”
