Bio:
Headed the University of Minnesota architecture program and designed the landmark Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis. His career continued well into his 90s. He was born with a deformed right arm, which was amputated, so he learned to draw with his left. His architecture degrees were earned from the University of Michigan and the Cranbrook Academy of Art.
