Bio:
Poet and 1964 Pulitzer Prize recipient whose best- known works include At the End of the Open Road and Struggling Times. After publishing The Owner of the House: New Collected Poems, 1940–2001, he was a finalist for the Griffin Poetry Prize. He studied at Columbia University and at the University of Paris.
