Rose to fame as the guitarist and vocalist of the Canadian rock band The Beaches. She was a leading face of the band through their release of studio albums Late Show and Blame My Ex. She formed the band as a teenager under the name Done with Dolls. The band's next name, The Beaches, was a nod to the neighborhood in Toronto where she grew up.
