Japanese supercentenarian who became Japan's oldest living person after Kane Tanaka passed away in 2022. She is also one of the world's oldest living people in history, and her age has been validated by the Guinness World Records organization. She practiced the art of Japanese tea ceremony and flower arrangement after graduating from elementary school, in addition to working on her family's orchard.
