Founder of an Italian drug rehabilitation community in San Patrignano, Italy. Though embraced by some oblivious outsiders at the time, his rehab facility's tactics were subject to much criticism by former addicts and humanitarians over the years. During his prime, he was compared to the likes of a Cult leader or a Mob boss.' He created the San Patrignano Community Center in 1978, after noticing so many heroine addicts in the area.
