Queen of Denmark who is known for being the supreme authority of the Church of Denmark and Commander-in-Chief of the Danish Defense. She made history for being the first female monarch of Denmark since Margrethe I who ruled the Scandinavian kingdoms in 1375.' Her father passed the Act of Succession which permitted female succession to the throne of Denmark if no brother exists. She was given a seat in the Council of State at eighteen. She was educated in private schools and studied prehistoric archaeology at Girton College at Cambridge and political science at Aarhus University.
