General Qamar Javed Bajwa, is a four-star rank army general, currently serving as the 16th Chief of Army Staff of the Pakistan Army, appointed by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on 26 November 2016. Lieutenant General Qamar Javed Bajwa was commissioned in the 16 Baloch Regiment in October 1980. He has served as chief of the army 's training and evaluation branch and was commissioned in Pakistan Army 's Sindh Regiment in 1982.
