Known for such books as Raising Ourselves to the Bar and The Continuous Atonement, Growing Up, this author and Brigham Young University education professor also had a career as a public speaker for Mormon (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) events. After graduating from Brigham Young University in the mid 1980s, he earned a PhD from the University of Wyoming.
