English comedic actor and musician who worked on the Carry On films, a series of low-budget British comedy films produced between 1958 and 1992. He also appeared in The Ghost of St Michael's. He grew up in Middlesex and later studied at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts before he went on to work in theatre, film, and radio.
