Physicist credited with the discovery of the "Hall Effect," which describes the voltage difference across an electrical conductor. He served as a Professor of Physics at Harvard University from 1895 to 1921. He was the Principal of Brunswick High School from 1876 to 1877 and earned his PhD from Johns Hopkins University in 1880.
