American poet and editor known for The Gnosis of Gnomes, Grief's Herbs, The Last Silesian, and other works. Also a translator, he produced English versions of the works of Georg Trakl, Czeslaw Milosz, and other prominent writers. Born in Pennsylvania, he immigrated to Poland following the 1989 collapse of the Iron Curtain.
