Though he is also known for his marine conservation work (exemplified by his establishment of the Guy Harvey Research Institute), this German-born Jamaican nature enthusiast is perhaps most famous for his paintings of aquatic animals. After earning an honors degree in Marine Biology from Aberdeen University, he received his doctorate in Fisheries Management from the University of the West Indies.
