Canadian defenceman who made his NHL debut with the Minnesota Wild during the 2013-14 season after being picked by the team in the first round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. He has represented Canada internationally, winning bronze at the World Under-18 Championships in 2012. He grew up in Calgary, Alberta and played in the Crowchild Minor Hockey Association. He later played for the Edge School for Athletes in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League.
