Known for his early candidacy for the 2008 United States Presidential campaign's Republican nomination, this Illinois politician withdrew from the race in late 2007. Also an attorney and accountant, he headed Chicago-based tax law and financial counseling firms. After graduating from the University of Illinois-Chicago with a degree in political science and accounting, he entered the Illinois Institute of Technology's Chicago-Kent College of Law.
