English singer and multi-instrumentalist best known as the leader of the popular new wave band Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. He is also a respected songwriter who has penned songs for the girl group Atomic Kitten. He attended Great Meols Primary School, where he met future OMD member Paul Humphreys.
