In the later part of his career, he was more active as a director. But as a child and teenager, he was known for his role as Beaver's friend Richard Rickover, in the final two seasons of Leave it to Beaver. Two of his earliest roles were in The DuPont Show with June Allyson and The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, appearing in an episode of each.
