Japanese actor who became known for his role as S zabur ' Kan ' in the 1999 film, Taboo, and his role as Ren Honjo in the 2005 film, Nana. He won a Best Supporting Actor Japanese Academy Award for his role in the 2011 film, Tantei wa Bar ni Iru. He attended Horikoshi High School and was offered the role of Kan' S zabur' in the 1999 film, Gohatto when he was 15 years old.
