English television presenter, naturalist and photographer most famous for having hosted the award-winning children's series The Really Wild Show in the 80's. He received the Dilys Breese Medal for his contributions to ornithological science and was made an honorary Doctor of Science by the University of Southampton. He attended Taunton's College before receiving a degree in Zoology from the University of Southampton. He later dropped out of his PhD program to become a wildlife cameraman.
