Physician who is considered by many to be the founder of rehabilitation medicine. He founded the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine, the world's first and largest university-affiliated center devoted entirely to inpatient/outpatient care and research and training into rehabilitation medicine. He attended the University of Missouri and the Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
