New Zealand-based author whose notable works of fiction include Feral City and Faith Singer. She also published an award-winning play, Say Thank You To The Lady, as well as a 1984 poetry collection entitled Flesh and Blood. She earned her master's degree in English from Victoria University of Wellington. She published her debut novel, Glory Days, in 1988.
