Educator and author who rose to national attention after the release of her illustrated children's critical thinking book Q is for Question: An ABC of Philosophy. An active teacher and principal in Canada, she received the Prime Minister's Award for Teaching Excellence in 2014. She has an extensive education, including a certificate in performing arts from Canadian College of Performing Arts and a degree in philosophy from the University of Victoria. After earning a bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of British Columbia, she went on to earn her master's in education in administration.
