Known best as the first certified American television meteorologist, this Emmy-winning weather forecaster began his career with Raleigh, North Carolina's WRAL-TV station in the early 1980s. In the late 1970s, he graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in meteorology and subsequently worked for a Salisbury, Maryland television station.
