Jazz bassist and bandleader who played for Dexter Gordon, Stan Getz, and Eddie Harris. He is also an author and released The Evolving Bassist in 1974. He was a trumpet player for the United States Air Force. Afterwards, he graduated from Northwestern University with a music degree.
