Scientist and former NASA astronaut who was a member of the sixth group of astronauts chosen by NASA in August 1967. He founded the New Energy Movement in 2003 and was also known for his unorthodox beliefs about space and science. He attended Georgetown University and UC Berkeley where he published scientific articles.
