Yesterday’s thrilling soccer semi-final between Brazil and Honduras at the Rio Olympics saw the host nation’s star striker, Neymar, net a new world record for the fastest goal in an Olympic football match (male).

Lopez tackled Neymar and brought him to the ground, but he was not quick enough to stop the ball rolling cleanly into the net. In front of more than 70,000 cheering fans, Brazil went on to win the game 6-0, with Neymar bagging a second goal from the penalty spot in the 92nd-minute penalty after Honduras defender Johnny Palacios had fouled Luan.
