There were some awkward moments at George HW Bushs funeral

In a service at the Washington National Cathedral, George HW Bush was remembered for his service to the United States, his politeness and his moderation.

But for three ex-presidents ' and the current one ' sitting in the front row, the ceremony was not without its awkward moments. Here are some of the highlights:

In the front row sat all the surviving current and former US presidents ' including Donald Trump and first lady Melania, Barack Obama and his wife Michelle, Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary and Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalynn.

The moment caught the eyes of the world, not only for its rarity, but also for its apparent tension.

This was the first interaction between Mr Trump and the other presidents, who he's criticised at one point or another, since Inauguration Day. So how would they be received'

For the most part, it was all civility as the front row put political differences aside to remember a Cold War veteran.
