Rangers fans react to signing of Sean Goss from QPR

There are plenty of reasons for Rangers fans to be positive about the news that Sean Goss has moved to Ibrox on a six-month loan deal from Queens Park Rangers.

The 22-year-old will offer Rangers manager Graeme Murty real options due to his ability to play at centre-half or in the heart of midfield. And if his former coach in Manchester United’s academy is anything to go by, Goss is a player with real potential and technical ability.

The fact that Goss failed to really break into QPR’s side is a cause for concern. The former Exeter City youngster had not played a single minute of senior football all season and it is fair to say QPR don’t exactly have the Championship’s strongest midfield.

But will Goss follow in the footsteps of Declan John in joining on a temporary basis with a point to prove before making a huge impact and, eventually, earning a full-time contract? It remains to be seen.
