Larry Nance Jr enjoys career night in Cavaliers 11290 win over Pistons

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Larry Nance Jr.'s father's jersey hangs in the rafters here, so what did you expect'

Nance Jr. had a career night in his first start for the Cavs -- a 112-90 blowout of the Detroit Pistons.

Nance, whose father Larry Nance Sr. starred in Cleveland from 1988-94, posted career bests in points (22), rebounds (15) and field goals (nine) in a season-high 32 minutes. He was the center of Tyronn Lue's newest starting lineup that still has a familiar anchor who's pretty good.

LeBron James (hint, HE's the anchor) poured in 31 points to go with seven rebounds and seven assists in 29 minutes. He shot 11-of-17 and made 5 3s, sitting the entire fourth quarter with the game well in hand.

"I said everything just felt easy. I think a large part is (LeBron), he's a large part of that," said Nance, 25, who is in his third pro season. "Catching just layups, those midrange jumpers. He draws, his gravity is ridiculous. When he has the ball the entire other team's defense is just locked on him. So, us cutting and us moving on the backside and him finding us is ridiculous."

The Cavs snapped a two-game slide and finished their season's longest homestand with a 2-3 mark. They have made a habit of running the Pistons off the court at The Q, winning each of the last four games here against Detroit by at least 17 points.
