The body of the late Soundgarden lead singer will be flown to California on Sunday, according to The Detroit News. Cornell, who died last week at the MGM Grand Hotel in Detroit, will be interred at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.The service on Friday will be private, but his familys attorney Kirk Pasich told the outlet that one or more public memorials will be considered.Cornell, who first gained fame as the lead singer of Soundgarden and later the band Audioslave, was found dead of suicide by hanging after Soundgardens concert in Detroit on Wednesday. He was 52.
