Carey Price to start Team Canada's first pre-tournament game

He's back! Carey Price will return to game action for the first time in nearly a year when he starts Canada's first pre-tournament World Cup game on Friday.

Price is ready to get going.

Im kind of excited, he said Wednesday, adding that he has done a lot of work to prepare for this moment and feels fine.

Its been nice to come in here and face some quality work with the practices weve had.

Head coach Mike Babcock wants to give Price the chance to play.

Hes an elite, elite goaltender who gives you a great chance to play every night, Babcock said.
