Box Office: Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai becomes the 6th highest opening day grosser of all time - Bollywood Hungama

The Salman Khan starrer Tiger Zinda Hai has been making headlines since its announcement, well yesterday the film directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and also featuring Katrina Kaif hit a total of 4600 screens in India. Said to be one of the most anticipated releases of 2017 the film opened to a thunderous response from the audience with theatres reporting a good rate of advance bookings.
In this box office analysis we take a look at the opening day collections of Tiger Zinda Hai while comparing the same to previous released. Interestingly, Tiger Zinda Hai that managed to collected Rs. 34.10 cr on its opening day ranks as the fourth highest opening day grosser of all time, unable to surpass the collections of previous releases like the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Happy New Year that collected Rs. 44.97 cr, Baahubali – The Conclusion that collected Rs. 41 cr, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo that collected Rs. 40.35 cr, Sultan that collected Rs. 36.54 cr, and Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3 that collected Rs. 36.22 cr.
On the other hand however, the opening day collections of Tiger Zinda Hai do manage to out beat other releases like Chennai Express that collected Rs. 33.12 cr, Ek Tha Tiger that collected Rs. 32.93 cr, Ajay Devgn’s Singham Returns that collected Rs. 32.09 cr, Golmaal Again that collected Rs. 30.14 cr and Dangal that had collected Rs. 29.78 cr.
