Bio:
American jazz and gospel singer who has gained fame for her songs "Hit the Ground," "I'm Confessin'," "My Heart," and "Right Where You Are." She has recorded with Universal Music Group and released the albums Dreaming Wide Awake, The Orchard, and Fellowship. She attended Houston County High School. She went on to Georgia State University to study singing. At the age of 22, she first made a name for herself nationally as a vocalist with a touring concert tribute to Billie Holiday. At 23, she signed with Verve Records for the 2003 release of her debut album, Salt, which topped Billboard's contemporary jazz charts.Sponsored Links
