L.T. Pagarani heads the Choithram supermarket chain, first set up by Thakurdas Choithram Pagarani as a small grocery store in Freetown, Sierra Leone, in 1944. Within a decade, the small shop had become an extensive chain serving the local market. Three decades ago Choithrams established its first UAE store and now has a total of 25 across the emirates as well as the GCC. Today, the firm is led by LT Pagarani, who continues to expand the brand across the region. In 2010, Pagarani confirmed that Choithraims planned to almost double the number of shops across the UAE and open smaller convenience stores, or corner shops, for the first time, adding a total of 19 new outlets.Sponsored Links
