Baruti Kandolo Lilela, a Congolese writer and comic book artist known by the pseudonym of Barly Baruti, published numerous environmentally-themed comics. His best-known works include Le Temps d'agir (Time to Act) and Objectif Terre! (Objective: Earth!). He worked at the French Cultural Centre's graphics studio in Kisangani.
