Bio:
An American fiction writer, children's author, and historian, she is best known for her 1943 young adult novel, Johnny Tremain. Her other works include A Mirror for Witches (1928) and Paul Revere and the World He Lived In (1942). She studied at Bradford Academy and later enrolled in several courses at the University of Wisconsin.
