Bio:
Southern author who became famous for several books of ghost stories, including the 1969 collection, "13 Alabama Ghosts and Jeffrey." She also became known as a storyteller, performing both for live audiences and on Alabama Public Radio. Her childhood experiences inspired her to write the book, Alabama: One Big Front Porch. She graduated from Huntingdon College in 1939 and subsequently became a reporter for both The Birmingham News and The Alabama Journal.Sponsored Links
