Ugandan politician, doctor, and retired colonel known for being the foremost opposition to president Yoweri Museveni. He unsuccessfully ran against him in the 2001, 2006, 2011, and 2016 elections, all of which have been surrounded by controversy. He attended Makerere University, where he studied medicine.
