Award-winning photographer known for such photojournalism projects as Migrations, Sahel: The End of the Road, and Genesis. His socially-themed documentary projects often focus on the plight of workers in third-world countries. After studying economics at the University of Sao Paulo, he worked for the International Coffee Organization.
