Sri Lankan Australian stand-up comedian, actor, writer, and broadcaster known for his comedy career and television appearances on Utopia, Have You Been Paying Attention?, Hughesy, We Have a Problem, Celebrity MasterChef Australia, I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, Spicks and Specks, and The Project, along with the stand-up specials Dilruk Jayasinha: Bundle of Joy and Dilruk Jayasinha: I Can't Feel My Face. He attended St. Peter's College in Colombo and after finishing school he moved to Melbourne, Australia, to pursue higher education. He studied accounting at university and eventually began working for one of the Big Four accounting firms. He eventually realized he was unhappy in the corporate world and in 2010 he performed at his first stand-up comedy open mic night which led him to pursue comedy as a career. His breakout came after he gained national recognition through his acting role as Ashan on the ABC workplace satire Utopia in 2017. He also began appearing regularly on panel shows like Have You Been Paying Attention? in 2017. He released his first stand-up special 'I Can't Feel My Face in 2018 and followed this with Dilruk Jayasinha: Bundle of Joy in 2020.
