Children's author, etiquette instructor, and mindfulness educator known for her Chasing Civility platform, for founding Lowcountry Manners which teaches modern manners, empathy, and social-emotional skills to kids and families, and for writing multiple picture books including Mindful Manatee, The Elephant Who Finds Empathy, Mindful Santa, and The Manners Contract. She earned a B.A. in Mass Communications from the University of South Carolina. She then pursued specialized etiquette and behavior training including Professional Etiquette Certification from the Charleston School of Protocol, the Social Success Makeover, and Advanced Behavioral Analysis Certification from The Nonverbal Group in Manhattan. She founded Lowcountry Manners in 2014. She published her first book The Manatee Who Finds Mindfulness in 2018. She started posting as Chasing Civility in 2022.
