He also runs the YouTube channel "Shamiofficial" where he shares original music and covers which has amassed over 250,000 subscribers with many of his music videos being viewed millions of times each. He released his debut music video "Shami & Lil Dagg / Live show in studio" on YouTube in June 2011, showcasing a live performance in a studio. His popularity grew on YouTube which helped him begin releasing albums and music. He released his first studio album Girl of the East in 2018.
