American journalist, public speaker, and wellness advocate who is a New York Times best-selling author for her 2021 book, Between Two Kingdoms. She has won an Emmy for her journalism, and her 2019 TED talk was one of the 10 most popular of the year, earning more than 5 million views. She was diagnosed with leukemia at age 22, and began a column in the New York Times called Life Interrupted. She gives speeches and leads workshops around the world. She is a graduate of Princeton University and earned an MFA from Bennington College in writing and literature.
