Television and film actor who rose to fame for his portrayal of King Louis XIII on the BBC series The Musketeers. He also appeared in the blockbuster films The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. He made his television acting debut on The Bill in 1999.
