American politician and attorney who is known for having earned a seat in the South Carolina House of Representatives. He is also known for being the first vice chairman of the South Carolina Democratic Party and for frequently appearing on CNN as a guest analyst.' He earned his bachelors degree in African-American studies from Morehouse College and in 2008 earned his juris doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He began his career as an attorney and continued to work his way up until he was elected to the South Carolina House of Representatives in 2006.
