Award-winning Brazilian film and television star known best for her role as Maria do Carmo in Her Own Destiny. She has also had leading roles in Two Faces, Women in Love, and Chiquinha Gonzaga. A classical ballerina, she was a member of the Grande Teatro Tupi ballet beginning in 1961. She would make her acting debut the following year in the telenovela A Noite Eterna.
