American actor who rose to fame for his lead roles in films such as Dolly Parton's Coat of Many Colors and Dolly Parton's Christmas of Many Colors. He also starred in Us Against the World. He took acting classes from a young age at the University of Alabama's Theatre department and earned his first speaking role less than a year after he started.
