Most well known for portraying Culebra in the Spanish Antena 3 network series Los Protegidos, Fernandez is also notable for his starring role as Guillermo "Willy" Azcauri in the 2012-2013 series Fenomenos. He also played major roles in the feature films Afterparty (2013), XP3D (2011), and Barcelona, Noches de Verano (2013). His performance in the hip-hop artist Darmo's 2007 "Mantenlo Ilegal" music video brought him to the attention of Los Protegidos' producers.
