Most well known for his role as Neil Godwin on the popular BBC series The Office, he is also notable for his portrayal of the title character's boyfriend, Michael Jackson, on the Sky1 series Stella. Also a theater actor, he performed in numerous Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) productions. After appearing in several stage plays at Lancashire, England's Stonyhurst College, he studied at London's Central School of Speech and Drama.
